Swiss Digital Days 2023 - Lighthouse Event

The final celebration of Swiss Digital Days 2023, an initiative by digitalswitzerland, will take place at the Swiss Museum of Transport on 6 December 2023.

The Lighthouse Event marks the culmination of weeks of insightful and engaging activities and events all over Switzerland around various digitalisation topics. Expect a varied programme including:

Planetarium

• 15:30-16:15 | Keynote Address by Astronaut & Scientist Ulrich Walter: Professor Ulrich Walter, renowned physician and astronaut, will talk about artificial intelligence and what it really means in the life of a scientist (in German).
• 16:30-17:15 | AI Hope Machine: An immersive glimpse into the future based on the hopes of today’s youth (in German).

• 17:30-17:40 | Future Partnership Announcement (in English)
• 17:40-18:00 | NextGen Future Skills AI Experience will showcase the result of a 3-month creative journey by school classes and individual children who harnessed the power of AI to craft remarkable artworks. Come and enjoy this special gallery (in English).
• 18:00-18:50 | #herHACK finals: The biggest female-led hackathon in Switzerland, where innovation and empowerment unite, will host their finalist’ pitches on-site (in English).
• 18:50-19:40 | Digital Shapers 2023: In partnership with BILANZ Wirtschaftsmagazin, HANDELSZEITUNG and PME, and supported by Innosuisse, digitalswitzerland is once again celebrating the 100 people changing the face of the Swiss digital landscape. Meet a few of the Digital Shapers in Lucerne (in English).
• Award ceremony, keynote, panel discussion and many other items are on the agenda (in English).

ICT-Berufsbildung Zentralschweiz is there to help you with any questions you may have about ICT apprenticeships, whether you are a prospective apprentice or an apprenticeship provider. At the NextGen Corner, you can not only admire the shortlist AI images from the NextGen workshops, but also generate your own AI images with Kids.Code and design your own gift cards on the theme of winter and Christmas. Brave Fair Fashion will be showing their latest collection - the winning images will become the motif of their NextGen Special Edition!

Interact with Huawei’s IdeaHub S2 and vote for the best pitches of #herHACK. In addition, as part of Digital Xchange, we will also be collecting answers to questions about artificial intelligence in the context of diversity, equity and inclusion.
